About Neil
Hertfordshire based artist Neil Higgs was born in late sixties. He is trained in Electronics engineering with a qualified profession in Software and Hardware development testing, it wasn`t until 2004 that he enrolled in a class run by a Bob Ross instructor which sparked a new hobby.
His earlier completed artwork subjects were mainly landscapes and seascapes, these giving him the ability to learn more about composition, paint blending and brush work, all of which would become very useful for the years to come.
After a few years he decided to combine his love of aviation for his new found hobby of artwork and did his first aviation painting called High Flier, which can be seen in the gallery / art page of this website.
He has completed a number of aviation paintings as well as a maritime subject for a client entitled HMS Bazely which depicts a World War II destroyer escort of which the clients grandfather served on.
In early 2026, he started to experient with Acrylic paints, and has completed two aviation themed paintings called 339th FG and Red Arrow, both of which can be seen on the art page of this website.

* 2014 and 2015 Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre (Total raised: £1650 for return to flight of their Lancaster)

* 2015 for the 490th Bomb Group memorial project (Raised: £1000 for creation of memorial in 2015)
Painting Title: CHILDREN in NEED CHARITY PAINTING
* 2015 for Children in Need / Little Gransden Airshow (Raised: £500 on the day of their airshow)
